Fabiani. has collaborated with local fashion esigner extraordinaire Warrick Gautier to launch Fabiani Women and last night they opened the second flagship store in Sandton City. I was excited to go so that I could finally get to touch and feel the collection.
Fabiani. debuted the womenswear collection at #MBFWJ17 in August and I was totally blown away. It was bold, refreshing, intricate and the detailing was to me reminiscent of the latest Balmain collections. It totally spoke to my favourite style of dress which I can describe as “Power meets Feminine”. It didn’t look affordable but I knew I had to get my hands on a piece or two.
WHAT SHE WORE: BLAZER – WITCHERY; TOP – JAMES PERSE; JEANS – DIESEL; SHOES – CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN
I have always liked men’s fashion – the tailoring is more precise and clothes are more structured and I’ve always felt it worked better with my petite frame. The store looks amazing with luxury finishes and the store size makes for an effortless shopping experience. I get overwhelmed when the store is either too cluttered or too large and I don’t really get to enjoy the shopping experience.
I unfortunately couldn’t get anything my size – the bane of my shopping existence – the smallest size they stock is UK 30 (I’m a UK24). Luckily, Warrick was generous enough to offer to take my measurements and go custom!
Apart from sizing issue, I feel that this collection really caters for women who like tailored pieces that still look feminine.
Thank you Warrick Gautier X Fabiani for the invitation I had a good time with the merchandise and champagne.
