Airports can be a stressful place. For world travelers, a passport is one of the most important documents you will own and I don’t need to tell you that it’s one of the most important items to keep an eye on when traveling. Losing your passport during your travels can be one of the most horrifying experiences that can totally ruin your trip.
Passport covers protect your passport from normal wear and tear, and getting liquids spilled on them. If you use your passport a lot, then this can be a very good thing. They also help you quickly identify the passport in your luggage or bag. A dark blue cover doesn’t always make itself known in a dark bag. They can add extra organisation. Some covers contain extra pockets inside for money, ID’s, vaccination proof, boarding passes or any other travel information.
Passport covers no longer have to be dreary and boring but can be super fashionable and form an integral part of your overall travel style! If you are like me and you like to accessorize everything, you will definitely have fun with them. These are my 2017 Top 5 favorite luxe passport covers from some of my favourite brands.

Some passport covers protect your digital information. Since most passports worldwide include an RFID chip in them, the passport covers that include RFID blockers can keep your personal information from getting into the wrong hands.
The only annoyance with them is having to take them on and off at passport control and getting those irritated looks from the officers as they wait for you to do this!
